This is a story of love, loss, hope and the happiest of endings in the wake of the saddest of times. Angeleen is an absolute delight. She knew that she and Chris would make perfect parents. After a brain tumour cruelly took his life too soon, she decided to have IVF with his sperm, creating two beautiful children.

The story was in the Mirror yesterday – read it online here.

Here’s a story to make you smile… it’s Little Miss Sunshine, a real life yellow wearing, sunshine loving smiler, Ella. It all began at Ella’s wedding, where she wore touches of yellow to pay tribute to her late dad, who loved the colour. Now, yellow is Ella’s whole life and she wears it well!

You can follow Ella’s journeys around the sun on Insta here. Out now in Best.

Always a joy to write a happy love story! Here is the wonderful Paula telling of how she’d almost given up on love after two decades spent not quite finding Mr Right. After a chance stumbling upon a book about Feng Shui, she made a few home improvements and weeks later, her luck turned. Absolutely lovely to work with Paula and write her story – out now in Best!

I worked with the fab dating agency Lumen on this piece for Woman’s Own, interviewing Angela and Kamay about their dating world. Online dating is such a normal part of the dating world now, but some profiles are more successful than others… read our piece to find out why!

Lumen is aimed at the over 50s – you can find out more here.

Love these ladies! Here’s Emma, Sheryl and Hannah reflecting on the lessons they learned while dipping their toe in married waters back in their 20s. Their ‘starter marriages’ taught them so much about love, life and long term relationships, it was a fascinating piece to put together.

Out now in Best.

Isn’t this a gorgeous piece? After pop princess Kylie announced that she’s more likely to be a step-mother than a mother now, we asked Cath to share her step-situation with us. Cath is step-mum to four lovely children but doesn’t have any biological children of her own, so I like to tell her she’s basically Wales’s answer to Kylie.

The piece is a celebration of step-families, blended families, happy families – all the wonderful ways we make our families. Thank you to Cath for sharing! Out now in Bella.

So, so proud of Kathleen! Such an honour to get to write about amazing women every day. Do I have the best job in the world, or what?! Kathleen and her mum Denise invited me into their world and let me champion their lives. Now more than ever, we need to show society that Down’s syndrome is nothing to be feared. Down’s syndrome is to be celebrated. Quick, before NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) causes a dramatic decrease in the number of people born with Down’s syndrome. As Kathleen will tell you, her life rocks.

Please buy Best Magazine this week to read all about Kathleen. She’s going places!

The gorgeous Sarah and Dave can teach us all a thing or two about living, while they live in the shadow of death. Dave has been battling worsening cystic fibrosis his entire life and never thought he’d experience love, marriage and family. But Sarah is by his side as his wife and carer and together they make every day special.

A beautiful, poignant love story just in time for Valentine’s Day, out now in Woman.

Support their gofundme campaign for Dave’s bucket list here.

I couldn’t reasonably hope for others to allow me to write about them if I wasn’t happy to write about myself! Luckily I love writing about myself…For Valentine’s Day this year, I wrote a piece for Best magazine about my love of rom coms and how I came to realise that true life is nothing like the movies. Working with neurologist Dr Nour, author of the super new book True Love, I looked at how most Hollywood fairytales stop at stage two of the four stages of love, so it’s futile to compare their ‘happily ever afters’ to the reality of our actual lives. But in reaching stage four – true love – I have discovered a more authentic, interesting, inspiring and real love. Yay! Thanks hubby!

You can catch us in Best now and buy Dr Nour’s book here. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Becky was an absolute dream to interview, such fun and an open, honest, wonderful person. She’s in the current series of the Undateables on Channel 4 and we placed her story in Reveal magazine to coincide with the series.

Becky has severe scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, and spent many years feeling low in confidence, not helped by a series of awful dates with men who couldn’t cope with the fact Becky needs a wheelchair or crutch to assist her. But her journey through the Undateables has boosted her confidence and helped Becky see just what a fox she is.

Here’s hoping she finds the love story she so truly deserves in the near future. Catch her episode on All 4 now!
